NROC Roles and Responsibilities for Members

A successful and sustainable implementation of an NROC membership starts by designating an implementation team made up of your colleagues.

While every organization does not need individuals to fill all of these roles, here are the responsibilities that you may want to consider as you plan the team that will support your use of the NROC products.  In some cases, one person may fulfill multiple responsibilities.

Role and Suggested Responsibilities

Executive Sponsor – Serves as a champion for the membership, communicating priorities to all potential stakeholders and constituents.  Also helps to pave the way for implementation and related budgetary needs (staffing, awareness communications, technical support, etc.)

NROC Project Manager – Responsible for planning, execution, and managing implementation throughout the organization. Collects data for measuring success.

Systems Administrator and Technical Support – Responsible for installing/supporting NROC courses in an LMS environment, serving as first tier/first line technical support for NROC tools/resources, and submitting tech tickets as needed to nrocnetwork.org.

EdReady Administrator – Configures and maintains EdReady site, manages users, assessments, goals, and student-facing messaging thoughout the member’s EdReady site.

HippoCampus Administrator – Configures and maintains HippoCampus site and communicates when new content is added.

Teacher Training & Curriculum Integration – Responsible for faculty/staff training, providing guidance on how to teach with NROC resources, and adapting curriculum in local LMS/other applications.

Marketing / Membership Awareness – Develops and maintains awareness campaigns about NROC content and opportunities for teacher/faculty participation in NROC sponsored events.
